Library Technician Salary
Library technicians assist librarians with preparing, acquiring, and organizing library materials as well as helping users to find the materials they are looking for. Often library technicians work under the supervision of a librarian. In large libraries, technicians usually specialize. The salary of a library technician varies depending on where the employment is located, but the median annual income is $26,560. Library technicians in colleges, universities and professional schools had the highest median earnings at $29,950, while elementary and secondary schools had the lowest, at $24,760.
Today the job duties and requirements of library technicians is changing.
