The average choreographer salary is around $34,000 annually. This can range dramatically depending on the specific field you are in. Most choreographers will never make less than $27,000. The main place that many choreographers make their money is by doing freelance work for various organizations. Freelance choreography involves designed and creating routines for groups that do not have the need for a staffed choreographer.
