Since many bailiffs also have experience in the field or college degrees, the average salary shoots up dramatically, with most making between $31,000 and $32,000 annually. At the top of the pay scale, most experienced bailiffs make around $55,000. Since bailiffs are part of the legal system, they are considered to be government employees, either employed by the federal government or the state government.
